Today, at the plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, a Government Q&A Hour took place during which the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Herman Halushchenko, presented a report titled: "Measures to Ensure the Functioning of the State's Energy Infrastructure under Martial Law."

Preparation for the Heating Season:
Gas Reserves: The Government is working to ensure sufficient gas supplies for a stable heating season, considering increased demand on power generation.
Coal Stocks: 2.6 million tonnes of coal have been accumulated in warehouses, ensuring uninterrupted energy supply.
Nuclear Fuel: Adequate reserves are available to support stable operations of nuclear power plants.
State of the Energy System:
Restoration of Generation: Of the 10 GW of destroyed capacity, about 5 GW has already been restored, with plans to increase this by year-end.
Hydropower: Despite massive attacks, no risks have been identified that would restrict hydropower generation.
Alternative Energy: Reduces the load on the system even under crisis conditions.
Security and Cooperation:
Protecting energy infrastructure facilities.
Cooperation with local communities and international partners on restoring generation and supplying equipment.
